There’s a $6 per-vehicle entrance fee to use the park, which is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Thursday and Friday, and on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The park is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

2. Check Out Kaweah Oaks Preserve

Kaweah Oaks Preserve, maintained by the Sequoia Riverlands Trust, offers great events and educational programs for kids and adults throughout the year. You can enjoy movies in the park, enjoy birdwatching or take a hike on one of the preserve’s many nature trails.

Admission to Kaweah Oaks Preserve is free, and it’s open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily during the summer; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the spring and fall; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the winter.

3. Spend an Afternoon at ImagineU Interactive Children’s Museum

The ImagineU Interactive Children’s Museum is located at 210 North Tipton Street in Visalia, and it’s open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (except Sundays, when it’s open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.). Kids and adults can enjoy revolving and permanent exhibits, such as the Imagination Station made for creating beautiful works of art, the U-Fix-It Garage designed for little engineers, and Angela’s Castle, where hundreds of costumes wait for tiny performers to take the stage.

Admission is $8 per person, and seniors and military personnel get in for $6. EBT card holders get in for $3.

4. Swing By Visalia Adventure Park

Visalia Adventure Park has indoor and outdoor fun for all ages. Located at 5600 West Cypress Avenue in Visalia, this park offers:
